ST. JOHN GIRLS 58, NESS CITY 20 — St. John's Lydia Reed dominated inside with 17 points and Mia Meyer added 16 points to spark the Tigers past Ness City 58-20 in Friday's Central Prairie League basketball game.

The Tigers (7-1, 2-0 CPL) led 21-6 after one quarter keyed by aggressive full court and half court defense. Ness City's Tavarez scored eight points.

LITTLE RIVER GIRLS 49, ST. JOHN 21 — No. 1 ranked Little River shut down St. John for a 49-21 non-league basketball victory over the Tigers.

Little River's Olander scored 15 points and Lafferty added 11 points. Little River (7-0) led 23-6 after one quarter keyed by aggressive defense.
