Pawnee Heights earns rematch with Cunningham

PAWNEE HEIGHTS 49, CHETOPA 34

CHETOPA – Pawnee Heights' triple threat thrived again with a 49-34 6-man playoff victory over Chetopa. The Tigers broke ahead 31-13 at halftime and never lost control. The Tigers (6-4) earn a rematch against defending state champion Cunningham (8-1).

The Tigers’ Jimmy Gardner passed for 184 yards and completed four touchdown passes and scored on a 1-yard run. Clayton Hammeke and Davin Hamby each completed a touchdown pass. Hamby scored on a final touchdown run.

Leighton Munk caught a pair of touchdown passes. Brady Carlson, Ely Hoffman, Hamby and Hammeke each scored on a touchdown reception. Chetopa finishes with a 5-3 record.
