HAYS — Great Bend Panther multi-sport athlete Paige Thexton has committed to sign for the softball program at Fort Hays State University. Thexton plays shortstop and pitches for the Panthers in the spring.

Thexton has also competed in volleyball and basketball at Great Bend.

“I am grateful to announce that I have committed to continue my academic and softball career at Fort Hays State,” Thexton said. “Thank you to all the coaches over the years that helped me get me here. Special thank you to my parents for the countless hours they have given up to help me achieve my goals. A big thank you to the staff at FHSU. I am so blessed for this opportunity.”
