OTIS – First-year Otis-Bison coach Marc Cowles enjoyed a perfect debut with the Cougars.
Otis-Bison quarterback Jake Hoopingarner threw four touchdown passes and scored a rushing touchdown to spark the Cougars past Western Plains 45-0 in a 6-man football game.
Kelson Juno caught 11- and 14-yard touchdown passes from Hoopingarner. Logan Maier caught a 4-yard scoring pass and Ismael Cortez caught a 12-yard touchdown. Hoopingarner converted a 19-yard touchdown run and completed all four passes for touchdowns.
Louis McVey scored on a 34-yard run and Ian Haselhorst scored on a 1-yard run with go with three extra-point kicks.
Defensively, Aiden Ochs-Lohrey recovered a fumble and accounted for 12 tackles and assists. Marcus Starr and Travis Ross each had five stops.
