OILER GIRLS 63, ELLINWOOD 23

ELLINWOOD – Central Plains Oiler Brynna Hammeke scored 24 points and Reese McGuire added a season high 15 points as the No. 1 ranked 1A Oilers sped past Ellinwood 62-23 Tuesday's Central Prairie League basketball game. 

The Oilers have swept 68 consecutive Central Prairie League games since 2012-2013.

Brittany Simpson scored 11 points with three assists for Ellinwood (8-8, 2-3 CPL).

ELLINWOOD – Ellinwood’s Britton Dutton scored 24 points and knocked down four 3-pointers as the Eagles roared past Central Plains 72-31 in Tuesday’s Central Prairie league game. Parker Scheck (18) and Kopy Behnke (11) scored in double figures for Ellinwood (15-1, 5-0).

Peyton Ryan scored 20 points for the Oilers.

MACKSVILLE – Macksville roared past Kinsley 77-40 in Tuesday's Central Prairie League basketball game behind four players in double figures. 

Diego Esparza (13), Alexis Barron (12), Ryan Kuckelman (12) and Lance Lickiss (11) scored in double figures. Barron dished out seven assists and Hector Gomez had five assists. Esparza had seven steals.

Kambry Adams scored 14 points and Mayce Russell contributed 13 points and seven steals. Abi Ibarra had seven steals.

HOISINGTON – Addy Mason handed Hoisington a 2-0 lead with two free throws. 

Hesston dominated to win 37-21 after building a 31-10 lead with a patient, ball-control offense. The Cardinals converted two field goals in three quarters. Kendal Brueggen led the Swathers with 11 points.

Macy Hanzlick led Hoisington (9-6, 2-3 CKL) with eight points. The Cardinals made six field goals against stifling Hesston man-to-man defense.

HOISINGTON – Hesston’s Cason Richardson dominated with 18 points to spark No. 3 3A Hesston past Hoisington 53-27 in Tuesday’s Central Kansas league basketball game.

The Swathers led 34-16 at halftime lead and permitted 11 second half points.

Hoisington (8-8, 2-3 CKL) was led by Bralen Thompson with 12 points and Leyton Haxton added nine points.
