Oilers' doubles team places first at Hesston

HESSTON – The Central Plains No. 1 doubles team of Grace Lamatsch/Ryann Metro (12-2) swept four matches to capture the championship of the Hesston Tennis Tournament Sept. 14.

Lamatsch/Metro defeated Wichita Classical’s Adah Branum/Leonora Neumann 8-7 (9-7) in a tiebreaker. The tandem beat two Hesston teams and Wichita Independent.
