GYPSUM — Southeast of Saline tailback Grady Gebhardt rumbled for 192 yards rushing and receiver Tucker Thaxton had 117 yards receiving to spark a 30-8 victory over Hoisington in the 2A football quarterfinals.

The Trojans converted a pair of Cardinal turnovers into touchdowns.

Gebhardt scored on runs of 2, 5 and 13 yards. Thaxton caught a 22-yard touchdown pass and grabbed 12 passes as the Cardinals elected to play soft coverage all night. Trojan quarterback Gannon Jacobson completed 15 passes for 142 and escaped pressure to deliver timely throws.

SE Saline (11-0) plays Beloit (9-2) in Friday's 2A semifinals. Hoisington (6-5) had a 5-game winning streak snapped. The Cardinals are 0-5 all-time in road quarterfinal playoff games.

Cardinal tailback Teron Kraft rushed for 44 yards and scored on a 1-yard run. The Cardinals rushed for 93 yards and quarterback Rhen Galls passed for 94 yards. Mason Martin had five catches for 43 yards. Carson Mason had two catches for 45 yards.

Hoisington's Brady Reif recovered a fumble for the Cardinals' lone takeaway.
