The St. John boys are unbeaten and top-ranked in Class 2A after capturing the Class 2A and Class 1A state basketball titles.

Central Plains (7-0) was paced by Reagan Phelan with 20 points, 18 in the first half. Taylor Rolfs (13), Cassidy Crites (12) and Breanna Schartz (12) all scored in double figures. The Oilers led 51-17 at halftime.
Macksville’s Sophie Filbert and Emma Stimatze each scored nine points.
