Sleder places first

SCOTT CITY — Larned's No. 2 singles Lauren Sleder (3-1) downed Sterling’s Danika Bingle-Zimmerman 6-3 to capture first place in Tuesday’s Larned tennis triangular tournament. Sterling (62%) edged Larned (56%) for the team title on winning percentage after the teams tied with 30 points.

Sterling’s No. 1 singles Chelsie Brown downed Larned’s Cassie Manry 6-0 for first place.

Goodland’s Phoebe Nachtigal/Addison Owens downed Larned's No. 2 doubles Ella McNett/Leah Pinkston 7-5 for first place.
