Haven sweeps Larned baseball

HAVEN – Haven swept Larned’s baseball team 15-2 and 9-5 to move into first place in the Central Kansas League. Haven (10-0, 8-0 CKL) drops Larned to 2-6, 2-6 CKL.

HAVEN 15, LARNED 2 (G1) – Haven roughed up Larned for 15 runs in four at-bats. D.J. Miller drove home five runs and Nash Wray drove in four runs.

Larned’s Brady Hope scored on a third-inning error. Mason Miller singled home Ty Smith.

HAVEN 9, LARNED 5 (G2) – Larned’s Deacon Martin drove in two runs and Mason Miller also drove home a run.

But Haven’s offense pushed across nine runs to stay unbeaten. D.J. Miller, Ty Lastinger and Dustin Bontrager each drove home two runs.
