Two Cardinals return

HOISINGTON — Hoisington’s Kaylee Shives and Micayla Ehler return from the Cardinals’ 3-1A state qualifier at Hesston Golf Course.

Shives has placed 49th at state twice (222, 36 holes, Hutchinson) and 104 (18 holes, Hesston). Shives placed 20th and 43rd at regionals. Ehler placed 83rd at state (122) last year.

Veteran Hoisington coach Bruce Cooper will guide the Cardinals in 2024. Cooper coached the Cardinals to state titles in 1982, 1983, 1984 and 1985.
