The Ellinwood Eagles capture the Ellsworth volleyball title.

ELLSWORTH – Ellinwood swept five matches to capture the Ellsworth volleyball title Saturday. The No. 2 state-ranked 2A Eagles downed Nickerson 25-6, 25-17 in the championship match.

LYONS – The Ellinwood junior varsity volleyball team won five matches to capture the Lyons volleyball title.

RILEY – 4A Clay Center (14-1) powered past Great Bend 25-20, 25-15 to capture the Riley County Round-Robin volleyball tournament. 

Against Clay Center, Kya Behr contributed 14 assists, 7 digs, 6 winners; Ava Kaiser 13 serves received; Mikala Minton 11 serves received; Alex Mayers 9 serves; Kimmy Hofflinger 8 digs; Kara Feist 5 winners; and Cassie Ellegood 5 winners.

Great Bend (8-1) won four of five matches.

Victoria Knights win title

LA CROSSE – Central Prairie League member Victoria upset La Crosse 25-18, 22-25, 25-22 and downed Plainville 25-11, 25-14 to capture Saturday's La Crosse/Otis-Bison volleyball tournament.

Pool winner Otis-Bison swept three pool matches, but lost 25-18, 11-25, 25-18 to Plainville in the semifinals.
