ELLINWOOD — Ellinwood quarterback Landon Simpson delivered an 82-yard kickoff return and two touchdowns, but the Eagles lost 42-22 to Medicine Lodge to miss a chance at the 1A football playoffs. Ellinwood's Tavian McCaffrey scored on a 6-yard run and added the 2-point conversion for the Eagles (4-4 1-4 District).

Tailback Braxx Farr rushed for three touchdowns and quarterback Keveon Ruiz threw for two touchdowns for Medicine Lodge (5-2, 3-2 District). Farr scored on runs of 4, 14 and 57 yards. Zane Keller caught a 14-yard scoring pass and Sawyer Stone converted an 8-yard reception.
