ELLINWOOD – Ellinwood’s Landon Simpson delivered a 20-yard touchdown run and a dazzling 45-yard interception return for a touchdown to spark a 32-0 non-league football victory over Syracuse.

Ellinwood (1-0) started strong on Dawson Sunderland’s 5-yard scoring dash. Tavin McCaffrey converted a 6-yard touchdown. Simpson finished off the second-half scoring with a pair of scores. Simpson, Sam Ryan, Nathan Hammeke and Sunderland converted 2-point runs.
