Ellinwood doubles places first

GREENSBURG – Ellinwood’s No. 2 doubles Vivian Klepper/Shelby Steffan (12-11) won three matches to capture the Kiowa County tennis tournament. Klepper/Steffan defeated Ashland’s Josie Boggs/Emily Lynn 6-3 in the championship match Sept. 26.

Ellinwood’s No. 1 doubles Grace Sturtz/Mahra Johnston (17-5) finished runner-up with a 7-5 loss to Ashland’s Kathryn Baker/Emilia Ceniceros.

No. 1 singles Gracyn Dombroski (8-8) placed runner-up with a 6-0 loss to Ashland’s Jaya Milburn. No. 2 singles Brooklyn Reynolds (7-13) finished runner-up with a 6-4 loss to St. John’s Giselle Ramirez.
