CLAFLIN — Central Plains quarterback Brodie Crites completed a 65-yard touchdown strike to Joel Schreiber and a 40-yard scoring pass to Paxton Dody in a 58-12 setback to Ell-Saline for an 8-Man District championship. Ell-Saline (7-1, 5-0 District) wins the District. The Oilers (6-2, 4-1 District) finish as runner-up.

Crites threw 12 for 22 for 197 yards, but was intercepted four times, the game's key statistic. Schreiber had two catches for 69 yards; Paxton Dody three grabs for 61 yards and Aiden Hekele three catches for 59 yards. Schreiber gained 90 yards on 13 carries, but the Oilers rushed for 119 yards on 25 tries.

Ell-Saline's Kas Kramer scored five touchdowns and Melvin Lutes added a pair of touchdowns. Ell-Saline rushed for 312 yards and quarterback Reese Krone threw for 104 yards and two scores.
