Eagles' JV volleyball ends unbeaten season
EHS JV1

ELLINWOOD -- The Ellinwood Eagles junior varsity volleyball team completed an undefeated 24-0 record, marking a triumphant return after four years without a JV squad. The Eagles showcased resilience, teamwork, and a never-give-up attitude in their final match against a strong Clay Center 4A team.

Players competing were Jenny Andrasek, Kaylynn Crawford, Eleanor Joiner, McKenna Parker, Lauren Ringwald, Natalie Smith, Addie Stickney, Lexi Thomas, Brynn Widener, Reagan Wirtz.

Ellinwood Coach Cami Thomas, reflecting on the team’s remarkable journey, praised the players for their relentless effort.

“I’m proud of their hard work, determination, and drive to never-give-up,” said Thomas. “Whenever the team faced adversity, our players stepped up big when they needed to. That made all the difference.”

This season’s success is particularly noteworthy given the absence of a JV squad for the past four years. Despite the challenge, the Eagles embraced the opportunity to build something special, proving their dedication both on-and-off the court.

The future looks bright for Ellinwood as the JV players continue to develop and strengthen the program. It's exciting to see what’s to come as the talented group of athletes progresses toward the varsity level.
