Stroup wins Pre-State race
WICHITA — Great Bend's Tavon Stroup (9:59.76) captured the 6-4A 3,200 meters and Bella Long (7:42.81) broke the Panther school record in the 2,000-meter girls steeplechase at Thursday's Wichita State Pre-State Challenge.
Long broke the school record by 14 seconds.
The Panthers quartet of Ismael Ramirez, Brogan Lashley, Isaac Aldana and Stroup placed fifth in the 3,200-meter relay (8:39.96).
