CUNNINGHAM 52, OTIS-BISON 6

OTIS — Underdog Otis-Bison kept battling in a 52-6 setback to No. 1 ranked Cunningham in Friday's 6-Man playoff quarterfinal.

Cougar quarterback Jake Hoopingarner completed a 5-yard touchdown pass to Ismael Cortez for the Cougars (6-4). The Wildcats downed the Cougars 50-0 in their first meeting.

Cunningham's talented receiver Dagin Reed and quarterback Will Wegerer  showcased their skills. Wegerer threw for six touchdown passes. Reed caught scoring strikes of 5, 18 and 19 yards and converted five extra points kicks, good for 2 points each.

The first play for the Wildcats (9-0) since Oct. 14 against the Cougars was an opening 75-yard kickoff return by Stephen Thimesch, who caught a pair of touchdown passes from Wegerer.

The Wildcats (9-0) meet Tescott in the 6-man semifinals.
