EMPORIA – Hoisington all-state lineman Caiden Hoffman is a strong candidate to start in the offensive line Saturday’s 51st Kansas Shrine Bowl. Kickoff is 6 p.m. at Emporia State University.  Hoisington finished as 3A state football runner-up in 2023.

The 6-2, 305-pound Hoffman is a 2-time all-state selection who has signed to play football at Fort Hays State. Hoffman earned the John Zook award for bet lineman in western Kansas.

The West leads the all-time series 31-17-2.
