HOISINGTON GIRLS 51, STERLING 39 — Hoisington's girls (3-2) placed Trina Lutters (15), Marley Bittel (11) and Kelsi Maier (10) in double figures to down Sterling 51-39 in a non-league basketball game. The Cardinals outscored Sterling 33-24 after halftime.

Cardinal Addi Hanzlick delivered spectacular defense on Sterling's Shklar Olsen after she scored 17 points with five 3-pointers.

STERLING 62, HOISINGTON 40 — State-ranked Sterling powered past Hoisington 62-40 in Tuesday's non-league basketball game. Sterling's Boston Ekart (18) and Blake Smith (15) combined for 33 points.

Hoisington (2-3) was led by Mason Martin with 18 points and Rhen Galla chipped in 12 points.
