Coming off its first losing week of the season, the Barton Community College eSports program regrouped with nearly a perfect outing on the week concluding the action with a 10-1 mark.
Now four weeks into the action, the Cougars boast a 28-14 record heading into next week’s halfway point of the regular season with 11 more matches on tap.
Dropping their matches to open play a week ago, Barton’s Call of Duty 4v4 and Rocket League squads got back on track producing 3-0 sweeps over Heartland Community College and Hinds Community College improving their season records to 2-2.
Tuesday’s action saw a clean 3-0 night for the Cougars as the Rainbow 6 Siege five pack started the night off with their third straight 2-0 victory taking care of Southwest Wisconsin Technical College. In Madden 22 Davon Morris remained perfect on the season earning his fourth straight 2-0 victory toppling Fort Scott Community College while his counterpart Chance Costello got back on track with a 2-0 breeze by victory over Central Wyoming Community College.
In Super Smash Brothers, the duo participants of Trent Keffer and Nicholas Kohman made it six and seven straight victories for the Cougars earning 3-0 victories respectively over Hudson Valley Community College and Vincennes University.
Barton’s lone defeat of the week came in Thursday’s COD: Cold War Gunfight as Keffer and Bryce Hopkins dropped a 3-0 battle to Heartland Community College falling to 1-2 on the season. Teammates Adam Hardin and Kindric Castro got the Cougars back on the winning side running away in their Gunfight showdown with a 3-0 victory over Grays Harbor College.
In Friday’s action the Barton Overwatch squad made it three straight victories since their week one loss earning a 3-0 triumph over Iowa Central Community College.
NBA2K gamer Joshua-Ryan Lujan capped the week action putting his two-match losing streak to rest with a 3-0 sweep over Iowa Central Community College pulling his season record to 2-2.
