LARNED — Larned's baseball team earned a pair of Central Kansas League wins over Hillsboro 9-3 and 4-3. Larned (8-6, 7-3) drops Hillsboro to 5-9, 2-8 CKL. 

LARNED 9, HILLSBORO 3 (G1) — Larned's Carson Shaver and Tristan Regan each drove in two runs. Four Indian pitchers held Hillsboro to one earned run.

Shaver scored a first-inning run on an error. Regan's single scored Easton Fox and Corbyn Nance scored on Shaver's second-inning single. Slade Sundahl scored on Regan's sacrifice fly and Fox scored on Shaver's third-inning single for  5-0 lead.

In the fourth, Landis Hagerman scored on Camden Bird's single and Sundahl scored on Nance's double. In the fifth, Shaver scored on a Anthony Gonzalez squeeze bunt and Deacon Martin scored on Reese Morgan's single.  

LARNED 4, HILLSBORO 3 (G2) — Larned's Shaver preserved a victory for Mason Miller with three consecutive strikeouts. 

Hillsboro's Zayne Haslett doubled home Dalton Philpott and Nash Dickinson and Jaeten Loewen scored on a bases-loaded hit batter for a 3-0 lead.

Shaver scored on a Gonzalez first-inning double. Andres Martinez and Miller scored on third-inning bases-loaded walks for a 3-3 tie.

Shaver stole third base and scored the game-winning run on Philpott's fourth-inning throwing error.

LARNED — Larned's softball team swept a Central Kansas League doubleheader from Hillsboro 5-1 and 8-3, Larned (9-7, 4-6 CKL) won behind quality pitching from Madison Wood and Jadyn Crosby to drop Hillsboro to 4-10, 1-9 CKL. 

LARNED 5, HILLSBORO 1 (G1) — Larned's Wood struck out four batters and yielded no earned runs.

Crosby started a 4-run fourth inning on an error. Wood scored on Gillian Smith's groundout. Ivy Hope scored on Eowyn Hedding's single. Hedding scored on Jillian Hagerman's single.

Crosby scored on a fifth-inning error. Hillsboro's Kinsley Watts scored on Khloe Funk's single.

LARNED 8, HILLSBORO 3 (G2) — Larned's Karley Lemuz hit a 2-run second-inning homer and Brooke Simmons drove in two runs. Hagerman, Crosby and Smith also drove in runs.  

Simmons singled in Hagerman in the first inning. Hope scored on Smith's single in a 5-run second inning. Hagerman singled in Hedding and Maya Wilson scored on an error. Lemuz drove home Hagerman with a homer.

Simmons singled in Wilson and Hagerman scored on a sixth-inning groundout.
