1A LAKE BARTON — Otis-Bison's Destiny Mitchell earned a fourth state trip after placing 9th, 38th and 39th at state. After her run, Mitchell helped her Cougar teammates qualify for the 1A-Division 2 state volleyball tournament. 

St. John's 4-time state qualifier Quade Smith (17:20.31) finished ninth at Lake Barton to qualify after placing 13th, 14th and 49th at the 1A state cross country meet. Stafford's Joel Valadez (17:17.32) placed seventh to qualify for 1A state.

Macksville's Kennedy Butler (21:20.48) finished 11th at Lake Barton to qualify for 1A state at Wamego.

3A NORTON — Three-time state qualifier and 2-time Central Kansas League champion Kamden Tarlton (16;40.78) placed fifth to qualify for 3A state with sixth-place finisher Brady Rossman (16:52.56) also qualifying.

Hoisington's Tianna Lutters (20:49.38) placed 11th to qualify for 3A state.

2A NORTON — Ellinwood's Central Prairie League champion Eleanor Joiner (20:05.84) placed fourth and Jenna Borror (21:26.09) placed seventh to qualify for the 2A state cross country meet.
