No. 2 ranked Barton Community College rolled to a dominating 96-53 basketball victory over Harry S. Truman, Ill. in the Best Western/Booster Club Classic.
Nearly half of the Cougars posted double-figure performances led by the combined 5-of-9 three-point shooting off the bench from Fontaine Williams and Lyna Brooks, Jr. for 11 points each.
Joining the pair in double figures with 10 points each were Keandre Kindell, Brent Moss, Aris Rodriguez, and Modibo Sanogo.
In addition to the 47.8% shooting from the field including 13-of-32 (40.6%) from long distance, Barton also connected on a season best 90.5% from the stripe sinking 19-of-21.
Three Falcons reached double figures, Michael Dempsey leading the squad with 13 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Jory Boley added 11 points with Nickolas Owens contributing 10
Barton's 13 players competed in at least 11 minutes to build a 44-point second half margin cruising to the victory.
Barton improves to 5-0 on the year while Truman searches for its first win of the year against three defeats.
The Cougars (5-0) open KJCCC play against No. 15 ranked Hutchinson (4-2) at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Northern Oklahoma-Enid (5-2) upset the Dragons 75-69 Saturday.
