To the editor:

I am calling upon this newspaper and the County Department of Health to provide us with information regarding the vaccination program which I assume is underway. We are told repeatedly about the daily number of positive COVID-19 cases in our county, and even more frightening, about the total number of people who have died of the virus. As a senior citizen of this county I would be reassured to learn that every effort has been made to roll out the vaccine and that the rate of vaccination is proceeding rapidly. 

It is disheartening to read in the national news media that Kansas ranks among the lowest of States in terms of vaccinating its citizens. What is the truth? Can there be anything more important than this issue for this paper to be reporting on?
