To the editor:

This has been an interesting and alarming election atmosphere this year. It used to be that mudslinging was a rare occurrence and it was frowned upon by the public at large. Now it seems to be the norm. Mudslinging also indicated that there was a desperation in the camp and things weren’t going well. It is alarming that it has become the first thing done when running for office. The first thing used to be; Here’s my record and that is why I’m asking for your vote. Our political atmosphere has become like two kids fighting in the schoolyard, and the rest of the world sees it.
