KINGMAN — On Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021 William Robert Stutz Jr, more commonly known as Bill, Slider Bill, or Billy Bob, went to his eternal home in Heaven at the age of 65. He passed peacefully with his two daughters and son-in-law by his side.

Bill was born Sept. 20, 1956, in Ransom, Kan., to Bob and Pat Stutz. He attended Utica grade and high schools. He attended college at both Emporia State and Kansas State Universities for agriculture.

In 1978, he started working for Mull Drilling Company, where he stayed and joyfully worked for a total of 43 years.

Bill met his wife, Lynne, in September of 1988 at a Christian singles retreat called Camp Como in Colorado. Both he and Lynne had been invited by friends. They were married May 4, 1991. Bill and Lynne raised two daughters, Olivia and Brenna.

After 28 years of living in Cheyenne Wells, Colo., Bill and Lynne moved to Kingman, Kan. in July of 2019. Bill enjoyed riding his motorcycles, playing foosball, playing cards and board games, racing, working in the oilfield, and talking to others. Bill was best known for his kindness, sincerity, honesty, making a quick positive impression on strangers, being an intuitive problem solver, great driving skills, and most of all, his love and respect for God.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Pat; his father, Bob; and his wife, Lynne. He is survived by his sisters Cheryl (St. Joseph, Mo.), Joy Hembree and husband, Steve (Great Bend, Kan.), Melody (Utica, Kan.); and brother, Greg (Denton, Texas) and daughter, Olivia Holguin and husband, Edwyn (McPherson, Kan.); two grandsons, EJ and Alejo, who were the Light of his life! And daughter, Brenna (Pratt, Kan.).

Memorial Services will be held at First Christian Church, 252 N. Ohio Ave., Utica, KS. 67584 on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021 at noon. Please join the family for a meal following the service at the old Utica grade school gym. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation towards the CMA (Christian Motorcyclists Association).
