HOISINGTON — Vivian Leroy Bryant, 50, died Feb. 12, 2024, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kan. He was born Sept. 18, 1973, in Hoisington, Kan., the son of Carl Lee and Rose Marie (Bird) Bryant.
In 1994 Vivian graduated from Great Bend High School. He later worked with Sunflower Diversified Services in the Recycling Center, a job he greatly enjoyed. Always wanting to help in any way he could, he took his chores seriously when living at home with his parents. The dishwasher was always unloaded and the laundry promptly hung to dry. Although he may play hooky if he could take a fishing trip with his dad. He also loved his old mutt dog that was lovingly named Paleface.
Vivian is survived by his two sisters, Louann Clark and husband Lawrence of Susank, and Janice Lauber and husband Daniel of Great Bend; 11 nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Roy Bryant; and two great nieces, Olivia Hamby and Abigail Richardson.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with family to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Don Fisher presiding. Burial will follow in Hoisington City Cemetery.
