Travis Lee Milsap 1970 - 2024

Travis Lee Milsap, 54, passed away Aug. 13, 2024, at his home in Great Bend, Kan. He was born June 16, 1970, to Margaret Ann (Luebbers) Milsap in Great Bend.

Travis was a Great Bend High School class of 1988 graduate, and then attended Wichita State University. Upon his return to Great Bend, he worked as chief technician for Multimedia Cablevision, electrician for Primus, and finally for United Parcel Service with 20 years of dedicated service until his retirement. Travis was a true outdoorsman who chased his dreams and followed his heart, living life to the fullest. After retirement, he followed his aspirations as a fishing guide at Lake Texoma and Beaver Lake. Travis was a member of Community Christian Church and enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends, who will miss him dearly. 

Survivors include his son, Jacob Milsap and wife Katelyn of Hoisington, Kan.; significant other, Jami Reed of Great Bend and her family Elle Anne Reed, daughter of the heart, Taylor Reed and fiancée Savannah Kennon, Nick Reed, Ryder Reed, Rhett Reed and Baker Reed all of Great Bend; mother, Margaret Ann Milsap of Great Bend; sisters, Traci Maneth and husband John of Great Bend, Kim Elliott and husband Jeremy of Great Bend; brothers, Todd Milsap and wife Karen of Great Bend, and Tom Milsap and wife Shelly of Camas, Wash.; nieces, Kalee Maneth and Azha Elliott; and nephews Alan Milsap, Jared Maneth, Trey Milsap, Keaton Elliott, and Quinton Elliott. He was preceded in death by niece, Crystal Harris; uncles, Richard Reichuber, Larry Milsap, and Gary Milsap; grandparents, Richard and Gwen Milsap, Tony and Anna Luebbers.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at Community Christian Church in Great Bend, with Pastor Jon Hembree presiding. Visitation will take place Friday, Aug. 23, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Community Christian Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
