Terry Stieben, 83, passed away Oct. 16, 2022, at Hays Medical Center. He was born April 29, 1939, at Fairbury, Neb. to Walter and Elizabeth (Hughes) Stieben. He married Judith Farr Sept. 22, 1962, at Great Bend.
A longtime Great Bend resident, Terry was a letter carrier for USPS, and formerly worked as a printer for the Great Bend Globe newspaper and Miller Printers. Terry was a Boys Town graduate and a retired Sergeant Major for the United States Army Reserve. He was a passionate KU basketball fan.
Survivors include, his wife of 60 years, Judith Stieben; a daughter, Lorrie D. Campbell and husband Billy of Albuquerque, N.M.; and a niece, Kenda O’Mara of Emporia. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Stieben; a half-brother, Jamie Stieben; and a half-sister, Sandra Stieben Sponsal.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials may be given to the Great Bend Public Library, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS, 67530. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net
