Susan Kay Ming 1958-2013

HOISINGTON — Susan Kay Ming, 55, died Sept. 3, 2013 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend. She was born May 17, 1958 at Hutchinson, the daughter of  George S. and L. Joan (Riegel) Ming.
She married Hardy Parks July 1994 at Great Bend. They later divorced. She worked in social services most of her life.
Mrs. Ming was a lifetime Barton County, Kansas resident. She was a member of Faith Community Church and loved flowers and cats.
She is survived by two sons: André Parks of Hoisington and Sheldon LeShore of Great Bend; one daughter: Kalie LeShore of Great Bend; one brother: Jerry Ming of Great Bend; three sisters: Mary LeShore of Great Bend, Cindy Lyon of Wichita, and Brenda Krier and her husband Allan of Holiday, Ark.; two brothers-in-law: Willie LeShore of Great Bend, and Steve Cogdill of Great Bend; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by triplet siblings, Robert, Ronald, and Rita Ming; and one sister, Cheryl Cogdill.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Fairview Park Cemetery in St. John with Pastor Sandy Kennedy officiating. Inurnment will be at Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorial are suggested to the Andre Parks Education Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Rochelle Vernice Lucas

Rochelle Vernice Lucas, 52, passed away Jan. 15, 2025, in Great Bend, Kan. She was born July 10, 1972, in Shreveport, La. to Rose Marie Lucas.

Rochelle worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse prior to making Great Bend her home in 2014. In her down time, she enjoyed reading and playing video games. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandkids. Rochelle loved the Lord immensely and was a God-fearing woman. 

Survivors include sons, JC Lucas, Javon Lucas, JaJuan Lucas, John Houp; daughters, Allyssia Jackson, Annissia Houp, Alia Lucas, Helen Houp; sisters, Nikki Lavender, Shontese Brown, Crystal Lavender; brothers, Chris Lucas, Tom Bunch; grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, at Bryant Funeral Home with Reverend LeRoy Keith presiding. Memorials have been designated to the Rochelle Vernice Lucas expense fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
