WICHITA — On the morning of April 24, 2022, Steve L. Dunham of Wichita, Kan., passed away at the age of 70. Steve was born the son of Jack M. and Esther Dunham on Feb. 24, 1952, in Hays, Kan. Steve and Marilyn Klima were united in marriage on April 3, 1976, in Las Vegas, Nev., and raised two children, Danny and Marcy. Steve was a veteran of the Marine Corps. He lived most of his life in Great Bend, Kan. working in the oilfield for 20 years and driving a truck for Linde for another 20 years. After retirement, Steve and Marilyn resided in Wichita, Kan., where he enjoyed being on the lake, spending time with family, working at O’Reilly’s, and shooting the breeze with anyone that came by.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jack L. Dunham. Survivors include his wife Marilyn of the home; two children, Daniel “Danny” of Des Moines, Iowa, and Marcy Scheffe (Jamie) of Missouri City, Texas; four grandchildren; Madalyn Scheffe, Carter Scheffe, Cooper Dunham, and Carli Dunham; two brothers; David Dunham and Gary Dunham of Great Bend, Kan.; two sisters; Cindy Dunham of Hays, Kan. and Janet Meyeres of Great Bend, Kan.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on April 29, 2022, at 10:30 at Wulf-Ast, 911 Biermann, Garden Plain, Kan.
