LARNED — Regina ‘Gina’ Marie Bradley, 73, passed away Jan. 5, 2025 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
She was born Jan. 18, 1951 in Larned, the daughter of Roger Thomas and Emma Jeanne Bradley.
A lifetime area resident, she lived a life of servant leadership. She worked in housekeeping at Larned State Hospital until her retirement on Dec. 15, 2017. Her quiet determination and easy smile made friendships come easy. When you were a friend, you were one through good times and bad and she was quick to champion the endeavors of those she loved. Honesty and work ethic were pillars of her belief.
Gina was a member of Escue Chapel CME Church, Larned, and she enjoyed singing with her family on special occasions and during the holidays. A talented artist, she loved to draw, was an avid collector of lighthouses, had a unique collection of matchbooks that date back over 50 years, and a sizeable collection of firefighter memorabilia. Gina was a car lover, she loved talking Ford Mustangs with her brothers and on hot summer days you could find a cold Pepsi nearby. She took great pride in keeping her vehicles clean and in excellent condition; a trait she inherited from her father.
After retirement, she could often be found relaxing with a puzzle book and was fond of scratch off lottery tickets. Her most cherished time, however, was spent with her beloved grandchildren, Olivia, and Hayden, enjoying their dance and sporting activities both live and online. To her there was no greater joy than to see her grandkids thrive, often saying “I’m so proud of them”.
Gina loved her family and friends and was always there for them in a time of need.
Survivors include son, Jason (Sarah) Bradley, Omaha, Neb.; bonus son, Darin Bradley, Wichita; siblings, Jo Kathan Bradley, Wichita; Phillip J.
