ALBERT — Nancy Marie Brady, 66, passed away November 8, 2021, at Diversicare of Larned. She was born on July 24, 1955, at Great Bend, to Alvin & Janet (Read) Schettler. She married Dale Brady on April 27, 1974, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend.
A lifetime Rush County resident, Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandma. She had been a social worker for SWKAAA for 17 years, retiring in 2015. Previous to that, she served as a social worker for hospice and worked at Barton County Community College. Nancy was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Albert. Having a servant’s heart, she volunteered at the Barton County Food Bank and the Dream Center Soup Kitchen. She enjoyed playing BINGO, doing yard work, Holidays with family, and above all, time with her grandkids.
Survivors include, her husband, Dale Brady of the home; two daughters, Brandy Maneth and husband Mike of Albert, and Kimberly Duran and husband Paul of Texas; two brothers, Mike Schettler and wife Terri of Great Bend, and David Schettler and wife Nola of Omaha, Neb.; four grandchildren, Bryce Maneth, Kolton Maneth, Hanna Duran and Brady Duran; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Lee and Jane Brady of Albert; brother-in-law, Charlie McClure; and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in passing by a sister-in-law, Arlene McClure.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Bryant Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, November 12, 2021, at Peace Lutheran Church in Albert with Rev. Wayne Baldyga presiding. Interment will follow at Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery in Albert. Memorials have been designated to Peace Lutheran Church, Barton County Food Bank or the Morrison House, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
