HOISINGTON — In Loving Memory of Nancy Lee Lindquist
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy Lee Lindquist, aka “Sparky”, who left this world peacefully on Dec. 18, 2024, at the age of 90. Nancy was surrounded by the love of her family as she joined her beloved husband of 68 years, Jerry, who preceded her in death by six weeks and one day. Their marriage was a love story for the ages. Her life was a testament to warmth, generosity, and joy, and her memory will forever light the hearts of those who knew her.
Born on June 23, 1934, Nancy grew up in Hoisington, Kan., where she cultivated the values of kindness, resilience, and community that defined her life. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Nancy poured her heart into creating a loving home for her family. Her greatest joys were cooking and baking, which she learned from her mother, along with enjoying her children and grandchildren. She was also one to look for any unexpected reason to dance.
Nancy had a gift for making others feel special, whether through her extraordinary talent in the kitchen or her sassy humor that kept everyone around her on their toes. She was always up for taking a fun picture and was quick to laugh. In younger years, she loved golf, tennis, bowling, crafts and playing in her weekly bridge group. She loved being a grandmother and took immense pride in doting on her grandkids, always finding ways to make them feel loved. She dedicated her time to volunteering, connecting with friends, and always prioritizing family.
Nancy is survived by her children Jeff (Lisa) and Stacey; and grandchildren Alicia, Kristin (Randy), and Eric; her great-grandson Noah; and many nieces and nephews who will carry forward her legacy of love and laughter. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A joint celebration of Nancy and Jerry’s lives will be held at Rundus Funeral Home in Broomfield on Friday Feb. 7th at 2 p.m. Though we mourn her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with Jerry and her family. Nancy’s memory will live on in the stories, smiles, and cherished moments she leaves behind.
