HAVILAND — Nancy Joan Larkin, 87, died March 17, 2025, at Ariza Woodhaven, Great Bend, Kan. She was born Sept. 23, 1937, on the farm in Union Township, Kiowa County, Kan., the daughter of Everett Watson and Viola Marie (Myers) Larkin. Nancy attended country Schools and Haviland High School and worked as a kitchen helper at the Haviland Care Center for 30 years. She lived with her parents on the farm, moving into Haviland in 1994, until their deaths in 2001. In 2020 Nancy moved to Hoisington, Kan., to be near family. 

She liked to sew and make fabric crafts. Nancy was very family conscientious, and did not miss the Hayes-Larkin family reunion from 1966-2023. She was a member of the Haviland United Methodist Church and the Royal Neighbors of America. 

Nancy is survived by a brother Raymond Larkin (Gloria), Hoisington; five nieces and nephews, Steve Prince (Shelly) and Stephanie Metcalf, all of Enid, Okla., Kenneth Larkin, Alexandria, Va., Katherine Schauf (Gerald), Beaver, Kan., Keith Larkin, Olathe, Kan.; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded by a sister Anna Marie Prince in 2000. 

Funeral Services and Celebration of Nancy’s life will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Haviland United Methodist Church with Rev. Alex-Bob Karimu presiding. Burial will follow in Haviland Cemetery. A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday at Fleener Funeral Home, Greensburg, Ks. Memorials are suggested to the Haviland United Methodist Church, in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main St., PO Box 41, Greensburg, KS 67054-0041.
