PARK CITY — Michael A. Jewell, 67, passed away on Wednesday Dec. 11th, 2024 at home. He was born on June 4th, 1957 in Larned, Kan.
Proceeded in death by his parents William Jay Jewell and Viola Ethel (Showers) Jewell. He was a long-time resident of
Park City, Kan. He attended Great Bend High School and Barton Community College in Great Bend. He retired from The Carlson Company in Wichita.
He is survived by his wife Clara of the home; his son Brandon, (Elaina) of Bunker Hill, West Virginia; his daughter Darah of Park City; and three grandchildren, Addison, Holly and Micah. Surviving siblings include brother Greg Jewell of Great Bend; sister JoAnn Marsh (Bob) of Great Bend; sister Teri Briel (Jim) of Wakeeney, Kan. Also, surviving, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed music and sports. He was a fan of the Kansas Jayhawks and the Kansas City Chiefs. He participated in high school marching band as well as drum and bugle corps. He was drum major of the Rebel Heirs junior drum corps and snare drummer for the National Champion Argonne Rebels, both of Great Bend. Later he played in several classic rock bands in Wichita.
No visitation will be held. Cremation has taken place.
