LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. — Marva Jean Alexander, aged 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024 at her home in Lee’s Summit, Mo. She was born on April 2, 1946, in Great Bend, to Ruth Hawkins and Thomas Jefferson Hardy. She lived most of her adult life in Topeka, Kan. where she taught elementary school with the USD 501 school district.  

She leaves behind two daughters; a granddaughter; two bonus grandsons; countless nieces and nephews; cousins; and friends. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024 at Langsford Funeral Home. The viewing is from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The service begins at 11:30 a.m.
