Lois Jean Dominguez, 73, passed away March 17, 2025, at Azria Health Woodhaven, Great Bend, Kan. She was born on May 31, 1951, in Great Bend, to Billy and Theresa (Hipp) Dykes.
A resident of Great Bend, Lois formerly worked as a home health and hospice aid while living in Oklahoma. She was a member of Encounter Church and enjoyed volunteering at the Salvation Army and the Dream Center. Above all else, she cherished time with her family.
Survivors include son, Shane Edward Fruits of Great Bend; daughters, Tracey Ellen Riemer and husband Aaron of Lawton, Okla., and Dana Cook and fiancé Hoyt Blankenship of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five grandchildren, Jaycee Cook of Durant, Okla., Travis Barnard of Moore, Okla., Brianne Riemer and Brooklyn Riemer of Lawton, Okla., and Sierra Dawn Brownell and husband Zacheus of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five brothers, Mark Dykes of Blaine, Minn., Jeff Dykes and wife Carol of Centennial, Colo., Luke Dykes and wife Renee, Gary Dykes, and Matt Dykes and wife Tami, all of Great Bend; two sisters, Gail Cooper and husband Carl of Great Bend, Jane Maresch and husband Edward of Salina; brother-in-law, Tim Morris; former son-in-law, Christopher Cook; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Dusty Michelle Barnard; and three sisters, Dana Dykes, Tina Alonzo, and Lori Morris.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Pastor Jake Newman presiding. Private family inurnment will follow at a later date. Memorials have been designated to the Golden Belt Humane Society or Cancer Center of Kansas, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
