Kerrie Marie Horsfall, 53, passed away Jan. 7, 2025, surrounded by loved ones at her home in Great Bend, Kan. She was born on May 12, 1971, in Dighton, Kan., to James and Kathleen (Barnett) Doris. On July 4, 1992, she married Phil Horsfall in Dighton, Kan.
A resident of Great Bend since 1990, Kerrie was a homemaker. She was “mom” to many, opening her home to family and friends who she loved spending time with. Kerrie also enjoyed fishing and watching her soap operas.
Survivors include her husband of the home; two daughters, Kristin Horsfall and significant other Raul Rocha, and Laura Martinez and husband Nelson, all of Great Bend; grandchildren, Jaelynn Greenwood, Xavier Rocha and Xander Rocha; father and step mother, Jim and Shirley Doris of Sterling, Colo.; brother, Larry Doris of McCook, Neb.; step brother, Bobby Sculley of Minnesota; and step sister, Ellen Bellmyer of Nebraska. She is preceded in death by her mother.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date. Memorials have been designated to the American Diabetes Association, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
