Judith (Judie) Ann Webb 1942 - 2025

Judith (Judie) Ann Webb, nee Brown, was born Dec, 3, 1942 in Great Bend, Kan. to Dorsey and Elma Brown. Judie began her journey to the greater life on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025 at the Mercy Rehab Center where she was a patient after surgery.

She is survived by her husband Thomas of the home and daughter Natalie living in Norman, Okla.

Judie attended Fort Hays Kansas State University (now Fort Hays State University) earning a Bachelor of Science in Education.  She later earned a Master of Education in Reading from Washburn University.

Judie was involved in education for over 30 years; in the classroom, as a reading specialist, and assistant principal. While in teaching at Sky Ranch Elementary, she was selected “1990-91 PTA Teacher Of The Year” and at Sooner Elementary (Moore Public Schools), she was selected “1996-97 PTA Teacher Of The Year”.

On Dec. 3, 1983, a friend introduced Judie to Thomas Webb. Judie and Tom ‘courted’ for eight months until ‘she decided’ they should get married. On Dec. 1, 1984, Judie and Tom became one at the Tinker AFB Chapel.

Through over 40 years of marriage, Judie and Tom traveled often, lived fully, laughed often, cried on occasion, and were devoted to each other. Their travels included cruises to Canada, New England, Alaska, the Caribbean, weekend trips to Dallas, and Kansas City. In the summer of 1986, Judie spent a month in Iceland where Tom was assigned with the USAF.

After retiring from education, Judie worked at an activity director at three different assisted living centers in the Midwest City/Del City area; Sterling House, Timberwood, and Arbor House. She touched the lives of numerous residents in the autumn of their years.

Judie was an active member of Wickline United Methodist Church of Midwest City. She and Tom were members of the Seekers Sunday School class. Judie also served as a greeter and communion steward. Judie kept an extensive ‘prayer journal’ listing the people and circumstances for who she lifted up in prayer. Her Wickline name badge carried her philosophy of life...”Be kind to each other.”

A celebration of Judie’s life was held on Friday, Feb. 28, 10:30 a.m. at Wickline UMC, 417 MidAmerica Blvd., Midwest City, OK.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Wickline Memorial Fund in Judie’s name.
