John Edward Elliott, 77, passed away Sept. 3, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at Medicalodges Great Bend, Kan. He was born Jan. 16, 1947, in Logansport, Ind., to Richard and Dorothy (Bobeck)Elliott. On March 25, 1972, he married Carol Tegarden in Great Bend. A resident of Great Bend for 74 years,John worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Great Bend Industries for 46 years prior to his retirement.

Survivors include his wife Carol, of the home; sons, Chad Elliott and wife Crystal of Great Bend, and Jason Elliott and wife Marci of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Kristi Stegman and husband Kevin of Great Bend; ten grandchildren; and sister, Jan Rieland and husband Joe of South Hutchinson.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, at BryantFuneral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been designated to the Alzheimer’s Association, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
