Janet Evelyn (Gore) Little, 97, passed away March 19, 2025, in her home in Great Bend, Kan. She was born on Dec. 31, 1927, in Larned, Kan., to James E. and Hazel (Boley) Gore. Her father, James, tragically lost his life in a farm accident five months before Janet was born. Janet was a longtime Great Bend resident coming from Larned, following her marriage to Bill B. Little on May 4, 1952. To this union, two children were born, Susan and Patrick. Bill passed away July 4, 1966.

Janet worked at Small World Children’s shop, volunteered with Red Cross blood mobile, was a member of P.E.O. Chapter IV, Progress Club, and First Christian Church. Her hobbies were babies and children, restoring furniture, painting, papering, flowers, her family, neighbors, and most of all, being “Nanny” to her two granddaughters and six great grandchildren. 

Janet is survived by daughter, Susan Holste and her husband David of Great Bend; son, Patrick Little and his wife Susan of Branson, Mo.; two granddaughters, Dru (Holste) Garrett and her husband, Logan and Erin (Holste) Parham and her husband, Gabe; great grandchildren, Kamryn Garrett, Cooper Garrett, Kynslee Garrett, Brooklyn Parham, Blake Parham, Beckett Parham; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; and her sister, Lorna Dell Treesh. 

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2025, at Bryant Funeral Home with Reverend William F. Johnson presiding. Burial will follow at Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Bryant Funeral Home with family receiving guests from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memorials have been designated to Kans for Kids or Golden Belt Community Foundation, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
