Isabell Ann Towns

SALINA — Isabell Ann Towns, 96, passed away on June 20, 2023 at Holiday Resort Health and Rehab, Salina, Kan. She was born Jan. 5, 1927 in Salina, Kan., the daughter of Ernest and Caroline (Armbrister) Keller. She married Clarence Duane Towns on Aug. 30, 1945 at St. John’s Lutheran Parsonage, Ellis, Kan. They were married 63 years before he passed away in 2009. Isabell was the former secretary for the Palco Saddle Club and was a cook for USD #269.   Her greatest joy was her kids and grandchildren. She was an avid KU and Royals fan and enjoyed listening to country music. Isabell was a member of United Methodist Church, Palco, Kan.

Survivors include her two children, Pam (Brad) Post and Stan (Natalie) Towns; one daughter-in-law, Donna Towns; two sisters, Marilyn (Vance) Wise and Freda Sutor; six grandchildren, Amy (Jerry) Buckles, Jason (Kari) Post, Amanda (Devin Cooper) Post, Aaron (Lindsay) Towns, Nathan (Shannon) Towns, and Ashly Towns; nine great grandchildren, Logan (Amanda Edmondson) Morris; Riley Buckles, Brason and Kaylnn Post, Nathaniel Towns, Tate Towns, and Summer, Anthony, Miracle and Jeniya Temple; seven step- great grandchildren, Kali, Danica, Emerson, Brantley and Ryder Leiker, Allie and Keilee Gerhardt. Isabell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; two sons, Dean and Michael Towns; two sisters, Elma Stull and Adeline Boswell; and one brother, Don Keller; and one granddaughter, Nicole Morgan.

A gathering of friends to share memories of Isabell will be from 2 – 4 p.m. on July 15, 2023 at United Methodist Church, 804 E. 1st St, Palco, KS.   There will be a graveside service with family only at Pleasantview Cemetery, Palco, Kan. Memorial contributions may be made to Interim Hospice of Salina and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS 67502.
