Daniel “Dan” McKay, 69, passed away Oct. 13, 2020, at the University Of Kansas Health System - Great Bend Campus. He was born on Sept. 8, 1951, at Meade, to David J. and Mary (Clowers) McKay. He married Angie Caudill on Dec. 19, 2011, at LaCrosse.
Coming from LaCrosse in 2013, Dan was a Great Bend resident. He was a civil engineer. He graduated with honors and enjoyed watching K-State play, as well as professional football. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include, his wife, Angie of the home; three sons, Reese McKay and wife Emily of Texas, Baxter McKay of Topeka, and Joshua Caudill of Hope; a daughter, Stephanie Krom and husband Joshua of Great Bend; his father, David J. McKay; a brother, David L. McKay and wife Cheryl; a sister in law, Tracey McKay of Wichita; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary McKay; and a brother, Kevin McKay.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 19, 2020, at Bryant Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020, at Bryant Funeral Home.
