Bradley J. Van Winkle 1961 - 2014

HUTCHINSON — Bradley J. Van Winkle, 54, passed away peacefully on Nov. 22, at his residence. Born July 13, 1960, in Great Bend, he was the son of James J. and Kathryn (Reidel) Van Winkle. He was raised and received his education in Great Bend, graduating from Great Bend High School in 1979. Brad worked many years farming and more recently running heavy equipment. He was a hard worker before his health
began to fail. He enjoyed farming, animals, reading, and the outdoors.
Survivors include his father, Jim Van Winkle and wife, Karolyn of Winfield; brother, Todd Van Winkle and wife, Angela of Neosho, Mo.; sister, Jamie Isbell and husband, Gerry of Dallas, Texas; two step-brothers, Stacy Kowalsky and wife, Meredeth of Winfield, Shawn Kowalsky of Texas; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A family inurnment will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, at Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery near Seward. A memorial has been established in Brad’s name at the Cowley County Humane Society.
