Arnold J. Reichuber Jr.

BUSHTON — Arnold J. Reichuber, Jr. passed away on Friday, Aug. 5, 2022 at the age of 80. He was born Feb. 2, 1942 in Great Bend, Kan. to Arnold and Frances (Hertach) Reichuber. He was the oldest of four children. He was united in marriage to Eleanora “Nora” Werner on April 27, 1968 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellinwood, Kan.

Arnold graduated from Bushton High School in 1960. In 1965, he graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Milling Technology. During his life, he was a member of the Air Force National Guard. He retired from Cargill in 1999 working as a Quality Assurance Manager. He was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4118. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, taking in their school activities and playing cards with them. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and following his Kansas State Wildcats.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Frances Reichuber; his sister, Patricia Shields; and his brother, Gerald Reichuber. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Nora Reichuber; daughter and son-in-law Kristine and Gary Hammes of Topeka; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Julia, Cecilia, and Samuel Hammes. He is also survived by his brother Leon Reichuber.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022 with a Rosary at 10 a.m., followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 296 3rd Rd, Bushton, KS 67427 with burial following immediately at the church cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made in his name to the Holy Name of Jesus Parish or Cemetery Fund or American Cancer Society, PO Box 171335, Kansas City, KS 66117.
