HUTCHINSON — Aaron Lee Eggers, 82, died Sept. 3, 2024, at Good Samaritan in Hutchinson. He was born Sept. 29, 1941, in Garden City, to Theodore Obodore and Della Gertrude (Herter) Eggers.

Aaron graduated from Salt City Business College, Hutchinson. He worked as an accountant/office manager for the now defunct, Betts Bakery from the late 60’s to the early 70’s, he then worked for KWCH channel 12 to the early 80’s, went back to Betts Bakery for a while, then became a realtor for Plaza Astle until retirement.

Bowling was Aaron’s passion, he loved to bowl and was a member of several bowling leagues. He also enjoyed doing carpentry and working with his hands.

On Sept. 22, 1962, he married Phyllis Lorene McMullen, in Ellinwood. She survives.

Other survivors include children, Todd and Heather Eggers, brother, Doug Eggers, all of Hutchinson; three nieces and nephews; and seven great- nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Tim Adrian officiating. A private family inurnment will take place in Lakin Comanche Cemetery. Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
