Vehicles collide on I-70 on Jan. 20

ELLSWORTH COUNTY — Two motorists were taken to the Ellsworth County Medical Center for treatment of possible injuries on Monday after their vehicles collided on I-70 in Ellsworth County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports both drivers expressed complaints of pain.

The collision occurred at 6:22 p.m. on Jan. 20, about half a mile east of K-232. Travis Dean Barleen,40, Salina, was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado in the eastbound passing lane and then moved to the driving lane, striking the rear trailer on the other vehicle. Cody Micheal Stephenson, 36, from Muskogee, Oklahoma, was driving a 2020 Freightliner pulling a trailer. Both drivers were wearing safety restraints.
